Helping dogs and Handlers find success at every level
—
As a stock dog trainer, my main focus is maintaining a deep respect for good stockmanship and the kind of dog work that holds up in the real world. For the past three years, I’ve been training and trialing stock dogs across all herding breeds, with a primary focus on Border Collies while actively working with and appreciating the strengths of every breed that steps into the field. My approach is practical, fair, and grounded in the belief that clear communication builds confident, capable dogs.
I’m an experienced stock handler with trial experience in USBCHA sheepdog trials, as well as AKC, AHBA, and MSSA venues. Whether I’m on the trial field or working stock at home, my focus is always on efficiency, thoughtful handling, and setting both dog and handler up for success. I value calm, purposeful work that keeps stock settled and dogs thinking—because good work should look right, not rushed.
While my roots are firmly planted in the working-dog world, I enjoy helping handlers from all backgrounds build better partnerships with their dogs. I’m especially passionate about teaching skills that translate beyond competition—useful, adaptable handling that works on and off the field. I take my work seriously, but I believe training should be enjoyable for both ends of the leash, and I’m always happy to help people and their dogs find a little more confidence, clarity, and grit along the way.As a stock dog trainer my main focus is maintaining a deep respect for good stockmanship and the kind of dog work that holds up in the real world.
